Developmental Pediatrics in Yelahanka — Milestones, Autism, ADHD & Speech Delay Evaluation

Developmental Pediatrics is a flagship strength at Ananya Kidz & Family Multispeciality Centre, Yelahanka. Many developmental concerns are first noticed by parents, not caught in a routine checkup — a child not speaking as expected, unusual behaviour, or a teacher's comment about focus. We provide a proper developmental evaluation so concerns are assessed early, not dismissed as “he'll grow out of it.”

What We Evaluate

  • Delayed developmental milestones
  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • ADHD and attention difficulties
  • Speech delay
  • Learning difficulties
  • Behavioural concerns
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Care for differently abled children

Early Warning Signs Parents Notice First

  • By 12 months: not responding to name, no babbling, not pointing to show interest
  • By 18 months: no single meaningful words, no gestures such as waving
  • By 2 years: fewer than about 25 words, not combining two words together
  • By 3 years: not forming short sentences, difficult for family to understand most speech
  • Any age: loss of previously acquired skills (regression), poor eye contact, repetitive behaviours, unusual sensitivity to sound or touch, difficulty interacting with other children

Our Assessment & Support Process

  • Detailed developmental history from parents, including pregnancy, birth, and early milestones
  • Structured milestone assessment across motor, social, and language domains
  • Screening for autism and ADHD indicators using standard structured tools
  • Early intervention planning tailored to the specific concern identified
  • Parent counselling and practical home strategies, not just a diagnosis and referral
  • Coordination with occupational therapy on-site (via Impulse Physiotherapy) for differently abled children
  • Scheduled review visits to track progress over time

Therapy & Rehabilitation Support

Full-fledged occupational therapy for differently abled children is available on-site through Impulse Physiotherapy, another vertical of Anand Abhigyan Healthcare & Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd. on the same campus — so developmental and physical rehabilitation support don't require going to a separate facility. Speech therapy and child psychology are not yet available in-house; both are expected to join soon. Until then, families needing these specific services are guided to appropriate external providers as part of the care plan.

Why Parents Choose Us

  • Early intervention emphasis — outcomes are consistently better the earlier concerns are identified and acted on

Parent Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

My child isn't talking yet at age 2 — is this a red flag?

By age 2, most children use around 25 or more words and are starting to combine two words. If your child is well below this, or isn't responding to name or gesturing, it's worth a developmental evaluation rather than waiting to see if it resolves on its own — early assessment allows early support if needed.

Could my child's hyperactivity just be normal energy, not ADHD?

High energy and short attention spans are normal at young ages. It becomes worth evaluating when it's clearly more intense or persistent than same-age peers, and is affecting learning, relationships, or daily functioning across more than one setting (home and school, for example).

What is the difference between autism and speech delay alone?

Speech delay on its own usually involves a child who understands language and interacts socially but is behind in talking. Autism spectrum disorder involves broader differences in social interaction, communication, and behaviour patterns, not speech alone — a developmental evaluation is the reliable way to tell them apart.

My child was developing normally and has now stopped gaining new skills — should I be worried?

Yes — this pattern, known as regression, is a red flag that should be evaluated promptly rather than observed at home, regardless of the child's age.

Do you have speech therapy and child psychology services on-site?

Occupational therapy for differently abled children is available on-site through Impulse Physiotherapy, on the same campus. Speech therapy and child psychology are not yet available in-house, though both are expected to join soon — until then, we guide families to appropriate providers as part of the care plan.

Emergency day care, procedures, lab tests, consumables, and pharmacy charges are separate from the base consultation fee and are billed on actuals.
