FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about physiotherapy at Anand Abhigyan Healthcare.

Fees & Sessions

The physiotherapy consultation and assessment fee is ₹400. This amount is adjusted against your treatment, and is waived entirely if you take a treatment package.

Sessions range from ₹500 to ₹1,500 depending on the treatment. Manual therapy and electrotherapy sessions are at the lower end, while advanced rehabilitation using combination therapies — such as shockwave, high-intensity laser or spinal decompression — is priced higher.

Yes. Package rates include additional sessions and better per-session pricing than individual bookings, and the consultation fee is waived when a package is taken.

Each session runs 45 to 60 minutes.

The number of sessions depends on your clinical condition and is decided after assessment. In most cases, optimal results are seen with seven days of continuous therapy.

We do not offer cashless insurance billing. Treatment is paid directly, and we provide itemised bills along with a case sheet containing full clinical notes prepared to meet insurer documentation requirements. Most of our patients have successfully claimed reimbursement from their insurers using this documentation.

Appointments & Access

Both are welcome. You can walk in during clinic hours, or book ahead by calling or messaging 8009537637 on WhatsApp to reduce waiting time.

No referral is required. You can book a physiotherapy consultation directly, though patients already under an Anand Abhigyan doctor's care can also be referred internally.

Yes. We welcome all patients — those referred by other hospitals, clinics, orthopaedic surgeons, neurologists, physicians and sports doctors, as well as self-referred patients.

Yes. We aim to offer same-day assessment for acute back pain and urgent musculoskeletal conditions, subject to appointment availability. Early assessment often leads to faster recovery.

Occupational therapy is delivered by our physiotherapy team, working under the guidance of our Paediatrician — particularly for occupational therapy with differently abled children.

Your First Visit

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows free movement and easy access to the area being treated. Women patients may find a salwar kurta most comfortable.

Yes — previous medical reports are required. Please bring any X-rays, MRI or CT scans, surgical notes, prescriptions and earlier physiotherapy records to your assessment, as these directly inform your treatment plan.

Yes. Separate cubicles are available for all therapies that require privacy.

Treatments & Conditions

Most patients experience only mild discomfort — shockwave delivers acoustic pressure waves, so it feels more like strong pressure than pain. A minimum of seven sessions is usually recommended, depending on your condition and recovery.

Yes. DTS spinal decompression is generally not recommended for spinal fractures, severe osteoporosis, spinal infections, pregnancy, certain spinal implants, or specific post-surgical conditions. Every patient is assessed before treatment begins.

DTS Spinal Decompression is ₹1,500 per session, discounted to ₹1,200 per session with a package.

Yes, it is a fully clothed, non-invasive treatment. Each session lasts 20 to 30 minutes, and a minimum of 15 sessions is generally recommended for optimal results.

Most patients feel a gentle, soothing warmth during treatment. Sessions usually last 10 to 20 minutes, and 6 to 10 sessions are commonly recommended depending on your condition — chronic problems may need more.

Yes, rPMS (Repetitive Peripheral Magnetic Stimulation) is performed over comfortable clothing, so there is no need to undress. Sessions typically last 15 to 30 minutes. You may feel gentle muscle contractions or a tapping sensation, but the treatment is comfortable and non-invasive.

Cupping can leave temporary circular marks caused by increased blood flow — these are not bruises. They usually fade within 3 to 10 days depending on your skin type and the treatment intensity.

Dry needling targets muscle trigger points to relieve pain and improve movement. Acupuncture is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine principles. Both use fine needles, but their treatment approach and objectives are different.
